Bike ride was splendid, but rather cold (it's sunny but not yet quite warm), and grading continues to suck, as grading does!

And I've got a story of yours bookmarked to read, too! Except it seems to be a sequel to a story I also haven't read, so they've both gone into the queue...

*spring hugs back* Love your icon, too!

My brother destroyed the bike I used to use, so I miss forest bike rides. *sulks* Doesn't riding in the city make it hard to really enjoy, with the traffic and all?

I had expected to get to the end of BSG and want to go read all the fic I could find. But with what happened, I'm still sort of meh about it. I'm optimistically bookmarking for when I do want to though!

Heh. I knew you hadn't read Havoc's story, so I wasn't really expecting you to bother with mine - reading two stories from a show you have lost interest in is a bit much at once. Then again, I noticed you squeeing at Journey. ;)

Fortunately, Toronto has a lot of great bike paths. Riding in the traffic isn't all that bad--I do it to get from point A to point B all the time--but it would certainly be hard to feel like you were getting good, relaxing exercise that way, yes. But I can pretty easily ride through a bit of traffic to get to a bike path, and after that it's usually quite lovely. Sometimes a bit crowded, especially in the summer, but with cyclists and joggers and rollerbladers, all of which are better than cars!

And yeah, I've been faithfully following Michelle's series for such a long time now, that I will continue to do so, come hell or high water, I think! :)

Hooray for bike rides! I hope you got in a good ride and the grading, too.

Thanks for the link to the NY Times story.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! And I'm glad it's getting warmer up there and the bike is ready to go. I haven't been on mine much this year (too much time walking/running), but after this weekend I really want to go for more rides. Enjoy your warm weather freedom as much as you can until grading freedom gets here!

Can I just say that I get a chuckle out of the idea of you only being able to find your love for Lee after RDM shot the series all to hell?

I haven't managed to read OofS yet because it went up during finals and my brain is still in several pieces, but: soon! :)

It's entirely possible that I only love the Lee in my head...

Though when the dust had settled after that train wreck of a finale, it really was Lee I felt for the most--perhaps because they'd killed most of the people I might have been more inclined to feel for, but still...
