Getting an illegal search warrant on a student for using Linux and being involved in a typical internet "questioning of sexual orientation" does not warrant this.

They took his computer, his mobile phone, his iPod, his storage media and his Ubuntu CD!

That's ridiculous. I seriously hope he had an offsite backup of his course work. Because now is not the point in a school term to have no access to anything. On top of everything else, he doesn't need to fail a year just because someone decided to play jackass.

I guess it's further proof that people fear what they don't understand.
