If Gandhi would be alive, he would certainly have written you a letter. Your post is fine :)

People like Gandhi and Mother Teresa had the opportunity to touch children's lives on a daily basis, but for me such opportunities come only once or twice a year, when I have time to go on a journey like this. When I was finishing university, I seriously considered joining the U.S. Peace Corps, but instead went to work for the airlines. Even now, I think about leaving my lawyer life and doing this. Only one problem - who will pay all my student loans? :) Such are the burdens and dilemmas of life. Thanks for nice words about the post.

Seems to me that most readers do not like to discuss nice and peace loving posts. :) Maybe I should have said something outrageous about Muslims or Jews in order to generate controversy and discussion, but it's not my way. I try to be as authentic as possible here, even when such expressions of personal emotion may be perceived as boring.

Isn't it great? No hate speeches, no stupid trolls = very good imo :)

Yes, you're right! It's evidence my readers are of high character and intellect, which I already know. :)

As said Arafat, main weapon against Israel and West is the womb of muslim women .

I visited his tomb in Ramallah. Not because I wanted to, but because we drove right by it and some people in my group wanted to stop. Btw, that woman in the video you sent me on FB made a valid point about "most" Germans being nice and "most" Muslims being peace loving people, etc. Thanks for sending that to me. I haven't been on FB for over a month, and only went on that day to look for an email address for a colleague. My account there remains disabled. Btw, what information is on your Identification Card? I see examples online, but the text is in Hebrew and I have no idea what they say.

Her point was that throughout history, the majority often suffer based on the actions of extremists in the minority. She was anti-Muslim, not anti-Jewish. Maybe we are talking about different women? :) Anyway, we will not agree on this topic. I do not see all Muslims or Palestinians as jihadists or terrorists, with the strong desire to annihilate Israel and Jews. Nor do I view Israel as an aggressor in this situation. There are no winners, and neither side can claim complete innocence. Btw, you also made a comment about Obama and Israel on FB. You do understand that Israel receives more U.S. funding than any other nation on the planet, even under Obama's term? And that includes substantial funding for the Iron Dome system shooting down all those Hamas rockets. Billions of dollars each year. This exchange reminds me why I hate talking about politics and religion. It makes people crazy and irrational.

A good and optimistic post:))
I do absolutely and entirely agree with you on the point that people are humans first of all. I am too naive, so I still wonder why people cannot live in peace. What's the point of progress, inventions, space flighs etc, when people of our planet cannot learn to compromise? Now that war in Ukraine - a wonderful country that once had all chances to be prosperous, but now it's in ruins, if not phisically, then at least economically. Too sad. And no party is right, everyone's wrong:(((

I don't know how some people go through life viewing most strangers as enemies or harmful, based on superficial things like appearance alone. This is a very void and exhausting existence in my opinion, to constantly be thinking everyone is after you, or looking to stab you in the back. I choose to believe every person I encounter is a decent human being, until they do something to prove to me otherwise. Ukraine, Israel, Palestine - all sad and depressing scenes. I often think about the legacy or imprint I will leave in life, and I would rather be considered naive than a bitter, hateful or close-minded person. To me, these are the worst human qualities.
