Quite the opposite ... this idea of "country for everybody" is and always was the source of Russia's strength. A person from any ethnic origin could easily "become" Russian. Just learn the language and accept Orthodox faith.
Just like in USA, there is no base for nazism in Russia because the _subject_ of nazism is absent - you cannot exclusively define Russian ethnicity, it's a blend of many others.
West-Ukraininan nazis cannot accept Russians as Ukrainians but, on the contrary, we can easily accept Ukrainians as Russians, as you said yourself. :)
Our core ideology is _inclusive_ Imperial ideology. All are ours who are willing to share our values, language and culture.
You're confusing dreams and reality. Construction of Russia is similar to St. Petersburg's. There is a civilized way of development of a city, when the freedom and equality stimulates the growth of the city, the city becomes a big and lovely. But there is a way to develop the city where thousands of people are sacrifice, other people pay for the whims of the king. You see elegant facades of imperial St. Petersburg, but you don't see a huge, indescribable amount of evil and violence, which russian people had to go through in order to these facades were constructed. Therefore, Lenin said that "Russia is a prison of nations" I agree with him on this. If the empire was a man and died, i would have come to piss on its grave. Empire is the greatest tragedy of the russian peoples. And their neighbors also.
" Empire is the greatest tragedy of the russian peoples. " Why? Empires make it possible to concentrate wealth (and other resources in more broad sense).
Mega-projects that move civilization forward, sponsorship of big science and fine arts are only possible within empires. It's even better when it is a decision of one man or a small group of like-minded comrades so it all is not lost in discussions and compromises.
To be honest, big corporations now can compete with the states in terms of budgets and willingness to do something outstanding. But the downside is that corporations mostly have commercial focus (people like Elon Musk are exceptions) and states have more "noble" focus in what they are doing.
For example, Soviet Union sponsored previously undeveloped lands and nations for purely political and civilizational reasons, not to make profit.
That phenomenon, which you call "to concentrate wealth", i call a "rip-off". None of the fans of the empire, with whom i spoke, no one wanted to be one of those thousands of peasants, which were tortured to death by the government in the construction of St. Petersburg. Nobody wanted to be a collective farmer under Stalin. Empire admirers see only the facades...
