So, I got up really early today and decided to make out an exam schedule for NEWTs and OWLs, seeing as the start of our game is the first day of exams. In addition, I made them all pretty and Harry Potter-ish.
Are we wanting this to be canon-compliant? If so, in canon, the exams for O.W.L.s were held over a two week period. The written exam is always in the morning proceeding the practical in the afternoon when the exams are two parts. With minor exceptions, it was one topic per day. Which allows them to cram for one subject the next day. The Astronomy Practical occurred where there was no exam until after lunch the next day. I assume it would be much the same for N.E.W.T.s. I have a canon compliant schedule worked out for a different game I'm willing to share if we'd like to keep this as close to the books.
I am pretty much pants at being diplomatic about canon issues. I do appreciate the work you put into the schedule. It's your game and as I player I can adapt or simply skip over anything that bothers me if you don't want to change it. I'm just more than a little obsessive compulsive about canon and trying to stick to it as much as possible.
