She fought him. She kicked and fought and did everything she could because she couldn't get the bloody rocket into the launcher- Because they'd kill her soon, and she had to fight-
She didn't even realise that there was no way they could be holding her, no way for them to even touch her. She was so lost in her nightmare that she didn't even realise that it was Jack.
Her fighting roused him more and he sat up, taking her by the shoulders. "Ace! Wake up, it's not real," he barked sharply, hell bent on pulling her back.
Her eyes snapped open, blank and unseeing but for the stark terror there. It was just once second, then two before she focused on his face, on him as she turned her head, covering her mouth with a hand as the tears started silently.
She could handle this. It's never been this bad, but she'd done it in real life. She'd dealt with that, she could- She could somehow make this not matter.
