Daedalus has mastered the Coins in the Piggy Bank trick! She got it so quickly that I felt like I was just along for the ride most of the time. This video is actually the first time she wasn't getting reinforced for every coin, and she isn't phased at all.

GAH! That's so cute I could die! I love how she picks up a coin, then puts it down to pick up an *identical* coin!

Sometimes after she tries to get one in for a while, she'll turn around and put it down and pick up a different (identical) coin. It's like she's saying, "Dumb coin! It's all YOUR fault!" ;)

She also sometimes tries to put in two at once, although I think she's starting to figure out that the hole just isn't big enough for that.

OP: What finally got her over that last hump of getting them *into* the bank instead of atop it? She looks so much stockier on video than in real life.

Honestly, she seemed to know all along that the coin was supposed to go in the slot. (How, I don't know. I just put the bank and the coins in front of her and she immediately picked up a coin and tried to put it in! I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.) It was just a matter of me giving her lots of opportunities to practice and keeping her from getting frustrated with unsuccessful attempts by doing a bit of shaping to keep the reinforcement level high ( ... )
