New cage

I'd like to get a new cage for my GCC, Dizzy.  The one I've got is good and works well, but I'd really like to get one that has its own wheeled base and a play structure on top.  I was wondering what has worked well for people for small conures?  I'm looking at this one currently, but it doesn't have any user reviews and I'm really bad at guaging ( Read more... )

Looks like that cage has 1 inch bar spacing, which is way too wide for a green cheek conure. They should really be 1/2" to 3/4" at most, or else they threaten to get their necks caught.

Something like this -- http://birdcages4less.com/page/B/PROD/Medium_Bird_Cages/PA5702 might be a better choice.

Just wanted to offer an additional resource:
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/bird-supplies/bird-cages-aviaries/ps/c/5059/10346

Free shipping on all orders over 49 bucks and I've had fantastic experiences with them and their very large assortment of flights and cages for my quaker.

Windycityparrot.com is also a fantastic resource.

Check those for more competitive pricing and/or better selection.

I've ordered cages from bird.com before and I have always been happy with their service! They also have great clearance deals on cages all the time, which is really great. I managed to grab two of these cages from there for just over $160 shipped.

Right now they have an indoor/outdoor aviary for sale for $149, and it seems like a good cage and got good reviews. Here is the link.

I would also suggest a HQ Flight cage, otherwise known on here are Everyone's Favorite Cage [EFC!].

That HQ flight cage is AWESOME and pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, minus the play stand - but the price is good enough that I could get Diz a nice separate play gym.

Thanks everyone for the links and the info!

The AE flight cage is the same dimensions as the HQ flight, same bar spacing, and also has the rolling cart base. The only difference is a single door in the middle rather than two doors above and below. Many of us here got the HQ version of the EFC from http://windycityparrot.com, but I think their shipping rates may have gone up.
