Macaw Stolen in Northern California

About 2:30 am this morning someone broke into The Bird Shop on Auburn Blvd in Sacramento and and stole "Trouble" their store Macaw. Trouble is a Ruby Macaw, red with a white beak. A reward is offered. The Bird Shop 916-338-0505 Please pass this on to everyone you know. They are heartbroken.

Gah, I'm not in the area so I can't do much, but god, I hope they get Trouble back.

Okay, hopefully I don't have any of my pics confused, but I think this is a picture of Trouble. I took this when I was visitng parrots while I was living in Sacramento. I hope this helps.

Very well could be a 'her.'

That is funny she's doing the same thing. She must be the 'strike-a-pose' sort. :o)

I hope she finds her way home and soon. I'd hate to think how some birdnapper is keeping her.

BTW - The Amazon who lived near her cage wasn't harmed was he? He was ill with a liver disease, I think.

When I read that, my heart sank because there's a store bird in my area, a B&G macaw that has the same name, but I'm in Texas. I know that everyone who knew the CA bird is feeling the same about him, too. :( I hope they find him!

Which store?

Since we live in the same area - I only know of 3 bird stores.
Fish & Chirps, Kookaburra (sp), and Tree Top... and then I think Backtalk just closed (which makes me really sad because it was only 5 mins from my job)

I actually haven't heard of Kookaburra or Tree Top! My family is from Allen and in Plano there's a pet store named Plano Pets I go to and that's the one I'm talking about . Where are those other stores?

I actually work in Addison, so I am only 5 minutes away from Plano.

Kookaburra is on Frankford at Josey in Carrollton...but the customer service there is HORRIBLE and the prices are... well horrible.
It is a fairly clean & well kept store though. Most of the birds are under socialized and spooky or bitey.

Tree Top I have only been to once, and it is at Coit & Campbell in dallas. It was crowded, but seemed nice.

At some point we should meet up & you can come play w/ my Flock!
How are you liking this crazy weather (78 to 48 in 30 mins or less!)
