Tomorrow early in the morning, we will make a mad dash to the supermarket to find something!!! Gah! Oh, you don't know his teachers. It's a totally different breed from preschool teachers. His preschool teachers were loving and affirmative. His teachers now are your typical primary school 'old school' teachers. Don't even get me started on it...
We managed to buy pressed dates w/nuts for his muslim teachers since it is fasting month (?). Honey for the Chinese Teacher since she always scold him. Must be getting a sore throat. : P
I hope Dominic won't get black marked because he didn't bring anything for the teachers.
You've GOT to be joking! Such pettiness actually exist?!? What do kids become with this kind of role models who are with them the better part of 5 days a week?
I don't remember gifting my teachers anything more than a personalised card and the class gets together to either buy flowers or a cake from the tuckshop to share during recess. Back then we were told that behaving well and being helpful everyday was a more significant gift to them than any material gift on Teacher's Day. We *never* needed to bother our parents with this. Whatever happened to that philisophy?
I really don't know whether he will get black marked but well, let's just say that he ain't in one of his teacher's good book, so better not make the situation worse. (-_-) Long story....
Yah! I don't even remember feeling obligated to get gifts for the teachers. At most some craft or card we made ourselves. Our parents definitely did nothing. Maybe that's why the significance of the event didn't register with me.

I just want Ethan to learn to be appreciative of his teachers...not so much of getting him out of the "black marked list", if there's ever one.
If he's in the afternoon session tomorrow, you can get him to do a card for his teachers.
