Who: Euphemia li Britannia (sealyourfate), Kururugi Suzaku (white_knight11) What: Euphie wants to speak with Suzaku. When: After this Where: Euphie's room, 1011 Rating: G
Euphemia had been waiting for him. She didn't want to upset everyone but... her sleep had not been so great and Cornelia... her sister. Well, it was hard.
She was glad however that Suzaku was around. More glad than anyone could see, not just as her knight but also as a person. Her friend, probably her closest friend.
She was sat on the bed hands folded on her lap as she tapped them on her knee slowly.
Suzaku opened the door and entered, resisting the urge to salute. Getting that excersise drilled into his head was hard to ignore. Still, closing the door behind him, Suzaku took a formal bow anyway.
But it was Japanese bow, not the Britainnian salute. Here, the Empire didn't matter.
"So, Euphie... What was it that you wanted to talk to me about?" He was smiling on the outside, yet his insides were twisting in sorrow. She looked tired, and somewhat upset.
Suzaku always made her feel better, it was strange but he was able to do it with a smile or a few words. So the princess sat up slightly and motioned for him to come closer offering a weary smile. "Mm. I just..." she shrugged a little.
"...wanted company."
Familiar company. She knew loads of people but they weren't from her world.
She trusted him, as her knight not to let her fall.
He smiled and sat down next to her. This close, he realised that Euphie looked the worse for wear.
"Are you okay? Besides the sleeping problem, I mean..." Suzaku looked at her gently.
She still looked beautiful to him, even tired. He knew that she could look after herself, but it didn't stop him from worrying about her. It was his job as a knight to protect his princess...
She let out a girlish giggle, still weary and shrugged one shoulder. "I guess I could be better, but I could also be worse" she replied forcing the largest smile she could on her face. She wasn't trying to decieve Suzaku or anything like that but he didn't want him to feel sad on her account either.
"Mm. Suzaku, how are you?"
Best to change the topic to him so she didn't have to explain too much. She wanted to, but she wasn't sure how much to say to Suzaku yet.
To be honest Euphie was afraid, he looked at her so gentle... would he think of her less if he knew what she had been doing? Learning from a certain red-haired general...
Not that she was ashamed of that, usually, only when Suzaku looked at her so...
