I would never have thought of this: a Sherlock band AU. And if I wasn't already so in love with your writing then I likely wouldn't have read it either. Which would have been a terrible loss. Because it is wonderful.

I don't know how you managed it, but while I was reading this I almost forgot that there was another incarnation of these characters because this is so right. I want to see videos of this band and buy their CDs and read interviews and reviews. Sherlock is absolutely wonderful as the tortured artist.

What you say about the support bands reminded me of things a friend's son said about when his band supported Placebo.

I love the way he Sherlocks the audience and how none of the fans actually understand the songs (which made me think of MCR's "you sing the words but don't know what they mean" in 'I'm not Okay') and how firm Lestrade is and how sexily mad Jim is, and John sneaking around in comfy jumpers and just everything really.

Completely weird idea and you totally made it work. I bow down at your feet.

Man, this is stunningly good. What perfect, stupid, awful people they are. People'll remark on your Jim and your Irene and your Sherlock, and they'll be right to, but I think John is what struck me best - you write him like you'd write a punch in the face. Gorgeous, all of it.
