They are never gentle, even if Jacob asks him for it--their love as wild and untamed as the jungle itself, nails scrabbling over skin for survival--but Jacob tries, he always tries, because if he hurts Esau too much he will dissipate into smoke and anger; if he hurts him too much, Jacob will lose him forever.

Oh thank you dear! I hear you, this ship can be hit or miss for me (and personally, it pales in comparison to Richard/Jacob) but sometimes they feel so right.

Emily starts and stops, can't quite get the words to string together right, but Josh just listens from the swing beside her until she looks at him with wide, vulnerable eyes--it doesn't really change anything, he says, giving his swing a little push, you're still my sister and I still love you--then Emily grins up at him before twirling around until the chains are tangled, then letting go and laughing with abandon as she spins.

Hehe! I figured the prompt was supposed to be angsty, but I love swings and it seemed like a good place for some sibling bonding.

When Hermione apparates them to the middle of Muggle London she allows herself a moment to hope that maybe this is the one place Harry will be safe, that maybe Death Eaters won't deign to come to Tottenham Court Road, but then there's the imbroglio in the cafe and she knows that they'll keep having to go farther and father before they can win.

Glad you like it! Hermione in the 7th book is one of my favorites-- I love her and feel so bad for her at the same time.
