What's been your biggest influence in making you a better writer.

Gluttony. I derive more pleasure from writing than anything else (on many levels). I think even sex takes a back seat to writing. And he was. But in all seriousness, the more I read this poem, the less scandelous it becomes and the more depressing it becomes. When I wrote it, I laughing quite a bit because I've never written anything so sexual before, but Sherry picked up on the all the winter aspects and how they chill any heat in the poem. Wow. I was just thinking today as I rode through town, my breaks squeeling because of my lean break pads, of all the various dangers that you don't notice in a car. Pebbles in the road can present a problem if it hits a tire wrong. Pot holes and ruts can throw the rider off. But any biker will tell you, one of your worst enemies  ( Read more... )
