Challenge 1. Contemporary Surrealism.
For the first challenge we're going to start with a contemporary painter

[About the artist/artwork]Micheal Page is an American contemporary surrealist painter stationed in San Francisco. Born in 1979, he employs oil and acrylic paints to depict often vibrant scenes, full of movement and energy which are seated in visual alternative to the world around him. The artworks used in this challenge are from Page's darkest body of work to date, called "Into Passing"; it explores death and the afterlife in an introspective manner. Icons can be inspired by any aspect of either or both of these paintings (eg. muted colouring, close crop, 3 characters, grief, etc.)
