Supermoon BS

To preemptively combat the stupid, I'm just going to go ahead and leave this here:

The earthquake was not caused by a "supermoon."

In contrast to the astrologer who claimed it did, this post is actually written by a well-known, respected, and published astronomer, Phil Plait.

Hi - not sure if you remember me, but I used to be a reg on AOL's r&f board about ten years ago (posting under the names BCleopatra and then Ajadedidealist). I just got in touch with Marjorie (lefteyeisanangel) after it transpired that we've both moved to England to study religion (I'm finishing up an undergrad degree in Theology and about to start a masters'; she's heading to start a master's in London in Study of Religions) and we were both struck by the extent to which our teen years at R&F influenced our ultimate Life Plans!

So it inspired me to seek out other board-people I used to be in contact with - I found your LJ through a (defunct?) r&f fanpage, but it looks like the boards themselves are down. Hope you're well - are you still involved in studying/reading/writing about r&f? If you'd like to friend me, you can find me by facebooking Tara Isabella Burton (blonde chick in the Oxford network) or just add me on LJ! Are you still in touch with any other former boardies?
