My Grandma is in the intensive care unit in the hospital right now...they don't expect her to make it through the night. I didn't think when I saw her at Christmas time that it would be the last time. I can't even speak to my dad right now because I don't know what to say. He's flying out first thing in the morning...I sure hope he can make it ( Read more... )

heh...I think that was my first anonymous post.

Uh...we're not really too sure. She's been sick for a little while with a few things, most recently being radiation therapy done on her throat to remove some non-cancerous tumours. She's always had health problems, but they were always something that could be helped and cured right away. But yesterday, her heart started beating wayyyy too fast (155?) and they had to rush her to the hospital to get it down. They did some tests and said that the damage done to her heart from this and past problems is irreversable, and the doctors weren't sure if they could do anything. Add to this her age and other current problems, and the prognosis is not so good.

She's still hanging on right now, so I guess all we can do now is wait.
