Back from the Armageddon Tourney. Definitely one of the better ones I've been too, if not the best. Just a day long, didnt run late, very little stupid and annoying waiting (not like some I've been to/run.) And the best news, I won the Best of Faction coin

Glad to hear that the tourney went well. Having a bye sucks - you pay the money, so you want as many games as you can get, but I guess at the end of the day if there's an odd number of people then there's nothing you can do.

Which is the day off that you need? Why are they being so wanky about it? Did you write it into your contract? - If so, then there's nothing they can do.

Just the second saturday of every month, to go to the South Auckland club. It is in my contract, its true. Hadnt thought of that. They are just trying to tell me that if I want that weekend off, I need to swap with the other guy who works every other weekend from me. But it just proves to be loads of hassle, and complication, becuase he has set up all his autopayments to go out on the week he gets his extra pay. and essentially I have 3 months where every ogther weekend means I am free for theclub, but the next three I am not, so its now worth us swapping fulltime.

really, I need to find a job that pays a better wage, and where I dont work weekends. Because it fucking sucks.

Well if its in your contract with nothing about it being your responsibility to arrange cover then it's not your problem. Tell your manager (nicely of course :-) ) that its not your problem. You're been upfront about it, what more could he ask?

I have achieved my goal of not leaving my army in a box for a month, indeed, I painted some stuff on tonight.
