What exactly you mean when you say "if I look pretty I do it for myself, not for others"? Does it make difference for you? Do you like yourself more when you look pretty? Do you then like yourself less when you look not that pretty

some people derive confidence from looking good, and so they will dress up to make themselves feel more confident
some people just like to look smart sometimes
some people just don't care
