Kiba was there, on time for once, still catching his breath. Damn twisting hallways. When he heard the "all-expenses paid" part he perked up, interested, but wrinkled his nose in distaste when the theme was announced. He definitly wasn't going to apply to this trip.
Kiba declined to answer, and looked around at other people's reactions to the announcement. He certainly hoped, judging from last class and then this one, that it might get a little off the sick-and-twisted and onto the more mainstream curriculum. If it didn't...well, he HAD to come, but that doesn't mean he had to pay attention.
As if reading Kiba's... thoughts, Ibiki finished answering Sakura's queries.
"Reading will include chapters one and fourteen in your World History books. End of the chapter questions are optional - those handed out with the handouts are not."
He wrote on the board, in ultiltarian script. "Creation vs. Evolution."
"I will be dividing you into groups next week to begin our debates on the subject. I expect," he drawled, "All of you to comprehensively understand your assigned topic, and uphold an academic professionalism throughout the debates."
Haku had been inside 5 minutes before the bell rang, sitting at his desk and reading a book. After the teacher's announcements, he took his hand-out and took out a pencil to write about the subject.
Ibiki looked down at Haku's paper, smiling in a self-satisfied fashion. He gave Haku a once over, (and if you take that sexually, then Ibiki laughs at you) before nodding.
"Most interesting," he commented, before moving on.

'Torture devices?' Tayuya thought from where she sat, half amused, hald confused, 'What the fuck?'
She rolled her eyes and pulled out a sheet of paper. In truth, the last thing she wanted to do was go to England. She didn't want to go to some smelly shit place that had no idea how to season food and everyone had a metal pole impaled in her ass.
But assignments were assignments.
She pulled out a purple ink pen and stared at the sheet, trying to form words in her head.
Yokobue Tayuya- July 18th, 3rd period.
Torture is nothing more than a manner of physical convincing to a person. You can whip them, or beat them, or put needles in their eyes, after awhile, by manner of self preservation, the person will eventually crack. But torture can also be manipulation of the mind. Scaring someone shitless will get you what you want. Sometimes, the best way of torture is to torture someone else, or just harass your target until the freak
( ... )
Ibiki didn't look up at Tayuya at first, setting down his novel on Oceanic Exploration and half-eaten orange (peel and all) first. He scanned her paper, and with a short nod of his head, indicated she should return to her seat.
"Tell me when you are free, Tayuya-san, for delivering your presentation."
[[ XD Dude, do I just keep missing you? *is horrible* ]]

Deidara sighed and rose from his seat to pass out the sheet. He wasn't really one for torture, so the trip didn't interest him. He glanced at the heading again as he finished and returned to his seat. Torture, huh? He thought back on his earlier escapades and reflected on how some might consider his "mischievous" behavior was torture to the weaker students - namely Shi-tan's middle cousin, but he didn't think what he had done was in any way cruel. It was all for the sake of art.
Ibiki made notice of Deidara's continued presence, and narrowed his eyes in satisfaction. Good student. He really wouldn't enjoy the time spent on school services he'd recieve otherwise.
He continued to read through his novel on Oceanic Exploration.
Feeling his teacher's gaze upon him, Deidara looked up with a raised eyebrow. When his teacher returned to his book the blond snorted and gazed back out of the window.
Sakura accepted the paper with a quiet thank you before bringing the but of her pen to her lips. A trip to England, all expenses paid, did sound like a wonderful opportunity, but it would also have its drawbacks. She nervously raised her hand to ask a question*
"Would it be possible to learn more about the particulars of the trip before applying for one of the spots? The trip sounds interesting, sensei, but I'd like to know more about it before making a decision like this," the pink-haired girl said nervously. "That is, if you don't mind the questions," she added quickly.
Ibiki nodded, utterly serious. "Wise of you to inquire further, Haruno-san." He raised his eyebrow, as if commenting on the... intelligence of those who had not said a word. "Ask."
