So, a couple of months ago, I read Gramarye’s terrific crossover fic, Harry Potter and the Legacy of the Light. In my review, I made a point of saying that you don’t need to have read the Dark is Rising series to enjoy this story. It’s wonderful, regardless. Not only hadn’t I read the series, I had never heard of it. How could that happen? I

Toss it aside and pick up the second book - it's quite different, and much better IMHO. Different characters. You can always come back to the first book.

By the way, that fic-writer is Gramarye, not Gramercy. She's here as gramarye1971. :)

I know exactly what you mean about the first one. I had to talk my mother through it.

And then the last two books are BRAN. BRAN.

Ahem. I mean the characters get so much more interesting. I am fighting off Will/Bran plot bunnies with sporks.
