things that make you go "hm?" (or maybe "WTF?")

Random things I noticed the other day that made me go "hm?" When I was at SDCC, I got a flier advertising the premiere of the new version of Hawaii Five-O. On the SDCC Free Ringtone flier was a picture of Daniel Dae-Kim (Gavin from Angel, Jin from LOST) and Grace Park (Sharon/Athena/8 from Battlestar Galactica), two other guys had I had never ( Read more... )

random, books, wtf, tv_shows

I know right! I think they are just trying to ride off the popularity of Lost and BSG. I mean, there hasn't really been any "Alex O'Loughlin from Moonlight!!!!!!!!" going around cause... did anyone really watch that? (I did. A little. For Logan.) But yeah, I've never seen the original show so I totally thought Daniel Dae-Kim was like, someone important with more screen time haha

Oh, is that what he's from? He looks sorta boring with the short hair cut.

Hahahaha, the Berenstain Bears have come a long way from refusing to put their socks on. You'd think someone along the editing process would have noticed that.

Yeah, the moral of get out and do something seems to mean less when the thing they do together is sit in a large dark room and not talk haha. At least I can talk to people while I'm on my computer. Silly ol' bears.

I just LOLed at your synopsis of the Berenstain Bears book. Obviously it was written by someone of the older, more technophobic generation. And someone who was more concerned with the "INTERNET BAD" message than with providing a more social alternative. Besides that - I'm more social on the internet than I ever am or will be in RL!

You should see the illustrations! There was a great picture of Papa Bear holding up a newspaper that said something about younger bears and online safety. Very odd image. I noticed the authors are no longer "Stan & Jan" but "Jan & Mike" - I'm guessing the son?

TGIF! I'm ready for the weekend!
Absofuckinglutely!

I watched the pilot episode of H50 and liked it - I think that it'll take a couple episodes to formulate the team, get them all to gel together. I thought the first one was about the team leader and how the team was formed - so understandably more focused on him. I'll keep watching for a while b/c it's entertaining and the scenery shots are so pretty... :)

Is it actually shot in Hawaii? Or do they just have some lovely stock images?
