originally posted to my Wordpress blog at www.orangerful.comHello everyone, how is your quarantine, stay-at-home (unless you’re an essential worker than many blessings upon you and I’m sorry people are assholes) going

We are trying to stick to a schedule, such as it is. We try to exercise at about 11am; doing our challenge and some yoga. In the afternoon (it's still cold here in the morning)we try to walk - gotta get some fresh air!
Just a few things to keep us motivated since all my regularly scheduled things are on hold.
I have been very glad I do not live alone these days, and I am feeling a bit stir crazy. This week I haven’t been out of the house sans the garden, since I have a cold or chest infection, which of course might be covid-19 (I don’t believe it is!), but I don’t want to risk spreading anything. I keep to my own floor of the house most parts these days as well and I will send my dad out for me tomorrow to get prescriptions filled.
I have been enjoying quite a few concerts online, which I have enjoyed very much. It’s fun to see so many people, in different fields, being creative in how they reach their audience. I don’t at all have a routine these days, I try my best to do thesis work and bullet journal and other hobby stuff between giving my body rest. And I read!
"Sometimes, I’ll just put the videos on in the background to feel like I’m just somewhere else." I've been doing that with Twitch...watching a few people play games. Which I didn't see the joy in before...but it's like having a friend over playing games with me now.
I spent over 2 hours watching OutsideXtra's epic KK Slider concert today and it was so CUTE! I was playing at the same time and watching and it was a lot of Animal Crossing at once but that game is so chill, it's just pure happiness.
I'm still getting paid too, thankfully. We're still working, but only 3 days a week in a locked office....and turns out we're essential as long as we're working on timber deals.
What little things are you doing to give your day structure? Or are you just taking it one day at a time? What comforting things are you watching, reading, or listening to? The 3 work days are at least not letting me sleep in every day. I can only do about 2 hours work from home and I'm doing that on Tuesdays & Thursdays right after lunch. Mornings are laundry and walking dogs (we're rural so no risk of infection). I'm putting my menial tasks and tv/books/etc in my planner to give me boxes to check. Boxes to check keeps me from just doing nothing. Still watching regular shows in the evenings. Otherwise: pandemic/zombie themed films (yes, I'm aware there's something wrong with me), Star Trek & Outlander & October Faction on netflix. Reading The Blade Itself and listening to The Magnus Archives.
