"oh where do we begin, the rubble or our sins?"

So many things to post about, but where to start?

We watched the Veronica Mars movie on Sunday night, in the comfort of our living room since I got the digital download as part of my Kickstarter package. I have...feels. Good and bad. Honestly, the show itself did not fair as well as I had hoped during the rewatch and I think those conflicted ( Read more... )

Cowboy Bebop is one of my favourite anime ever. And FLCL is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. <3 Yey for anime!

I feel like I need to watch the series to really get the movie. I understood the movie but I felt like I was missing a LOT of little things. Sorta like watching "Serenity" and having never heard of "Firefly".

FLCL was very interesting, not sure I understood half of it LOL. I have a feeling the guy who wrote Scott Pilgrim must have watched it because it made me think of that a few times.

Argh, I hadn't realised this season of Psych would be shorter! :/ Now I feel cheated.

At least it sounds like they told them it was going to end and let them shoot a final episode, which makes me happy. They are doing another "sleepover" this weekend too with an all night marathon.

You and I may have had opposite reactions to the VM rewatch, for me season three fared far better than remembered when I got to it and I came out of the movie largely happy. I have a long write up in my LJ and can't wait to read yours :)

Excellent birthday gifts!

I saw your post but decided I didn't want to read it until I had gotten my own thoughts together. :) I think I enjoyed most of the movie but there were a few things that bugged me and I've been trying to figure out if it was the movie or the genre that just isn't working for me.

I hear that. There are definitely a few things that irked me but so far I've glossed over them. I do think the stories work better in a series and I'm hoping they get a mini-series or something as a pick up after the success of the film.

I never was into Veronica Mars, but I did note in the back of my mind that the movie is happening now. Interested to see your conflicting views when you're ready.

I've now seen the Cowboy Bebop movie and the entire FLCL series (which is just 8 episodes). This is probably the most anime I have seen in a single sitting. I liked FLCL more than Bebop. Not sure what we will watch next.
MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA! You need to watch Madoka. It is THE BEST. Full name, "Puella Magi Madoka Magica." It looks like a cutesy, fluffy girly-girly cute anime, but don't let that fool ya. It's legendary. I'm not even gonna tell you what it's about, because it will blow your mind that much more if you go into it blind.

I still haven't see Frozen myself; the wait list is eons long at the library, and I know everyone loves it, and I'll get to it eventually and love it myself, I'm sure, but I just don't care that much? I dunno.

LOL okay I will take a look at Madoka. Hulu has all 12 episodes, which is about as long of a run as I'm willing to commit to haha.

I'm a Disney junkie so it's hard for me not to love Frozen. It's not my favorite of the newer Disney (that goes to Tangled, which I ADORE!) but I thought it was pretty plus I love Kristen Bell.

It won't take you long to get through, trust me. Especially once you hit Episode 3--that's the Shit Gets Real episode.

Gah! I need to see Tangled, too. I am quite behind on my feature length cartoons.
