Part One Here

And we continue with the finale's run of bittersweet endings...

I will begin part two with the shot that made me make a 'meep!' sound and left me looking completely bugg-eyed.

Your thoughts????

Tell me you all were a little speechless there too. I mean, we know that he wears a shirt under the jacket..but still...bare arms? It felt more normal to see him naked, well, half naked. And damnnit! I tried so hard to resisit the Tennant fangirling! And now...all I can do is admit that that is one fine shot of his backside. ...and bare arm...and sideburn....oh, I'm doomed!

The Doctor Donna banter was a charm to watch. I was already missing Carthrine by this point.

Donna: "Watch it spaceman!"
Doctor: "Watch it earthgirl!..oh!"
Me: XD

Still, the thing that caugh me the most, was him finally understanding her. Donna Noble, screaming at the world. I'll admit, as much as I loved it, I felt uncomfortable with at the same time. It rang out a little too close to home for me. So I totally understood Donna asking him to just stop.

*hug Donna*

Another laugh I got? Jack getting thrown out with the trash..

LOL. The hero gets trashed. what's new? I want to know how the dalek's managed to throw him in there, fetal position.

Jack: -gasps-"MAN! It was hot in there!"
Oh Captain, my Captain...

And now,for another caption of Sexy badass Mickey.

*starts to play "I'm bringing sexy back"*

The entire scene when we fiinally found out what the Daleks were really planning on doing was a bit of a shocker to me(why yes, I do pay attention to the actual crisis at hand!). Of course, first coherent thought that came to mind? "They're fucking nuts"
Does anyone else like the sonic lipstick? I mean, I really find it cheesy, like, a lot. I loved Mickey pacing back and forth in hopes that Jackie would be able to make it out of th hostage(?) room safley.

The Jack and Mickey reunion was brilliant.
Jack: "I crawl through two miles of ventalation shafts and what do I get? Mickey Mouse!"
Mickey: "You can talk, Captain Cheescake"
...
YYAYYY!!! Jack/Mickey happy!reunion!hugging!

Jack: "Now come and join Torchwood, we're short on sexy members"

Jack: "And that's beefcake"
Mickey: "And that's enough hugging"

I laughed at Sarah Janes little diamond of dooom!! it's like the BBC used all their cash on DW and TW that they cheapened out on the Sarah Jane adventures if that was the best they could come up with. But hang on, it's an explosive and she carries it around in her pocket??! I'm going to assume that she intentionally put in it right before she left Luke at home, with a robot screen for protection.

I grinned all the way through the Rose/Martha meeting. Ok, maybe not the ultimate catfight many of us were secretly hopping for...but, it was nice to see Rose approve and then Martha saying "Oh My God...He found you!"

By saying that, Rose knows she wasn't forgotten. I love it. She mattered and he mentioned her, I think it gave her a small amount of reassurence right then, judging by the way she looked over at him. *happy sigh*

The fact that they mentioned Sarah Janes encounter with Davros was utter awesome for me. That was the only other Davros story I'd ever watched and it was cool. Them talking about it and remembering it was brill, but one little thing annoyed the hell out of me!

No Harry mention. Seriously, Davros could've said "You and that boy.." or Something! Lis Sladen and Ian Marter were good friends, she could've mentioned him somewhere in there! : (   *oogles at Scruffy!Harry* By the way..did I mention, that in that episode, the Doctor was sent by the Timelords to commit genocide on the Daleks, from the very begining of their creation? ..good episode, very good episode.

Of course, the wired up little diamond of doom made me laugh all over again.  And then I was cutt off abruptly by Davros shoving the cold hard truth in everyones faces. The Doctor sees himself. In a way, I think many of us turn a blind eye to the Dctors actions when it comes to how many people have died just because they got pulled into and adventure..and so we get a few flashes of the people who have died over the last few years. I say a few, because if you really think about it, the list goes on a little more.

Harriett Jones. The woman who stood by her beliefs and did her duty, who took responsability for the lives of the human race when the Doctor wasn't there to save them. I'm glad The Doctor knows what an amazing thing she did, she desreved a proper mention.

Jabe. The rather lovely tree woman who was on Platform One and gave us our first insight as to what happened to the Doctor. She knew she was going to burn up and turn into ash, but she did it anyways, to help the Doctor save everyone onf Paltform One. I liked her.

The Controller. "My Masters, I have brought your distruction!"
She hid the Doctor from the Daleks for as long as she could and then showed him where they were. Again, knowing it was going to men the end of her.

Lynda with a 'Y'. erm..well, I think it was just as much Jack's fault as it was the Doctor's. Plus, she decided to stay becuase she had a crush on the Doctor. Don't worry Doctor, she's busy on Eastenders now...big "I'm sleeping with my ex-husband's brother" type thing.

Sir Sexy Robert.  My mom jumped at that shot and said "Ooooh! he's good looking! Can we re-watch the episode with him in it?"
"I said, I'd find you the time. Now go, Sir"
"Good Man"
His home was the start of Torchwood, in honor, so that his sacrifice would not be forgotten. Him and his wife were a lovely couple. *sniffles*

Mrs.Moor. She was kewl. Her best line had to be..
"Come on! This has got to be the slowest getaway in history!"
Another deatht that I don't think was entierly the Doctor's fault, but if he feels responsable well then...

...erm, guy on some rather not mentioned part of the Absorbaloff's body...?

Another member from L.I.N.D.A whose name I can't really be bothered to remember....seeing as I've only watched that episode twice and don't intend to watch it for quite a while....

Ok, what is it with the Love and Monters characters? But here's her quick Eulogy. Ursula, turned into a block of cement and spends the rest of her flat life with Elton giving him blowjobs fince there's nothing else she can do.

... is it wrong of me to want to throw myself at the Face of Boe?
It sounds weird (and a little sick, I know) but he looks soo comfy! minus the nose.
It's good to know that Jack died saving hundreds of people. *plants kisses all over the FoB*

Chantho-tho...blue bug-face....I think we ought to thank her for making the Master regenrate, don't think I would've fancied watching Jacobie(spelling??) during the final shit episodes last year. I mean, he was cool as the Proffesor but..y'know Simm and all..

Kylie...erm, sorry, Astrid. Yeah..that wasn't a happy ending. And, as bollox as I thought that episode was, she did pretty awesome there at the end.

Everytime I see Luke, I want to go watch "The great Mouse Detective" for realz.
And in a way, I'm glad the Doctor did remember this one, cause he kinda did worm him into doing this one. All together now, just one more for poor little Luke "Sonta-HA!"

Well now we know it's just the Doctor's thoughs, cause sweet Jenny is up and about and looking for Cpt Jack. Still, sweet of him.

*smirks* I will refrain from being too mean. But really, this one wasn't his fault in the least. She punched him when he wanted to do it...so,  really it's not the same. G'bye River Tamm!

And hostess lady whose name we never knew.  But I can kind of see their point with this one.

At the end of it all, the Doctor feels like utter shit. David pulled another top-notch acting job for this scene...brilliant in fact.

Davros, this is the Doctor's "I hate you with every cell in my body" face. And sure as hell sent a shiver down my spine!
Although I still love Davros, he has that crazy loon thing down alright, I couldn't stop grinning when he was leering at Rose.
"I will do as I please with her.."
"Leave her alone!!"
It's moments like that that made my little fangirl heart flutter.

The DoctorDonna showing up was am-a-zing!

*cue lights and dramatic opera music*
aaaaaannd then he got zapped. poop.
Donna taking control of the entire situation took me completley by surprise. All I did for the first bit of the scene was leave my mouth hanging open and blink a lot. She was fantastic and she made the Daleks go all 70's on us! yaaaayyy!!

Really, being able to just slide the Dalek away! Xd Classic!Who style! I'm pretty sure that was one of the given ways of doing it, back when you could defeat them by going up a flight of stairs, beating them wiht a baseball bat and putting your hat over the eyestalk. Heee!
You know the whole cast has been wanting tot do that for years!
Also Sarah and Rose's little catch-up there? Priceless.

I'm glad they explained the DoctorDonna thing then and there. And it actually made sense. That whole part of the plot I never saw comming, I'll admit.

BADWOLF DONNA!!!! ...sorry, I'll shut up soon.

And I couldn't very well go on with out mention Jacks epic line...

"You really don't want to know what's going throught my head right now..."

Jack, Take me. I'm yours to do what you wish with. *hands self over on whatever kinky surface he wants*

Blue Doctor comitting genocide...again, did not see that comming. I kept saying "That's what nine did...Mom! Nine was all broken cause he'd comitted genocide!" and was worried up untill everyone went blundering into the Tardis.

I don't think that there will ever be a shot inside the Tardis that will make me as happy as this one does,

My lip wibbles everytime I look at that shot...even the guns are together.
I wasn't surprised by the fact that the Tardis was suppose to piloted by more than one person. In fact, I'm pretty sure in was in a fanfiction as well where the Doctor summons up his formers elves to fly the Tardis at one point. It wasgood. But like I said, I wasn't like "oooohh! that's why it has six panels!!" But just seeing the Doctor's family fly it together (and dragging Earth back home non the less!) was quite a sight. And I want it as my desktop now.
I loved the quick chats with Torchwood and Luke. I finally got my Gwen/Gwenyth thing solved. It was bugging me to no end! And becuase of it we got another moment fo cute!

I am so proud to be a shipper of the two biggest dorks in the universe.

And on a note of dorky-ness, is it just me or does it seem like the Torchwood team doesn't get out much? The scene when the Earth is gettig pulled back Gwen and Ianto are like
"Wooooooohhhooooooo!! The Hub's falling apart! Fucking PARTY!!!"
lol, wut? Luke wasn't much better, but he's already weird.
How much did we all love the hugging bit? Doctor/Rose, Rose/Martha, Mickey/Jackie, Mickey/Sarah Jane, Donna shoving Sarah Jane off/Jack???? My heart melted with joy,I tell you!  Which of course meant that It was time for a few tears.

I could've hugged Sarah Jane for what she said to the Doctor,
"You know, you act like such a lonely man...but really, you've got the biggest family on Earth"
Thank you Sarah!

And once again, we say goodbye to Jack and Martha..

Jack: "You know, you ought to really reconsider joining Torchwood. Owen sniffed it"
Martha: "I'll see what other acting jobs are available before I jump an answer at that one.."

As soon as Tosh and Owen died, I knew that Martha and Mickey were going to take their places. I just knew it.

And while I'll be happy to see more of Noel Clarke, him just leaving his old life behind this time was very abrupt. Last time, I understood, he was something in that universe, he was going to fight the Cybermen, take care of his gran and make something of himself. This time it was like "Bye Jackie, not even going to give Rose a farewell this time. See ya round Doc!" I wouldn't have minded him staying so much if only he'd at least said goodbye to Rose. And given us a better excuse than "yeah, grans dead nothing for me now" ...I'm still not convinced.

I'll always love Mickey to pieces, he's proof that the Doctor does help people grow and become better.
...How long do you think the next Torchwood series will run before Mickey sleeps with Jack and Martha cheats on Tom with a lesbian alien? *sigh* I just know that the Martha/Tom thing is going to be destroyed. damn.

One thing I loved about Brown Doctor bouncing in, is that Blue Doctor automatically knew that something was wrong.

And then we are faced with the beach of doom.

-----
It started out well enough.  The Doctor falling for the "We named him Doctor" thing was funny and mean at the same time.

aw, look at his widdle face. He fell for it, poor sucker.

But Jackie still loves him. And have I mentioned, she looks absolutly lovely in this episode.

And now...begins the heartbreak.

Right now, I want to make it very clear on where I stand. The part human Doctor is still him. He's the same man. I refuse to call him Alt!Doctor or Human!Doctor in any of my fics. And I wil definitly never ever call him clone boy.  (Though, we should've seen it comming now that you think about it, The Sontarans, Jenny...) We're only making ourselves miserable by not accepting him. The only qualm I have with him comming out of the hand is that, since it was from christmas, wouldn't his hair still be like this?

oh, not useful? alright, here's a better pic of the earlier hair...

(click any image to enlarge)

Or there's this picture as well..

ok ok ok ok! FINE!! I'll stop posting random pics of his hair....*eyeroll* Anyways, on with the beach scene...

This was the best thing Russell could give us shippers. It was the best send-off he could've ever given Rose. I mean sure I was a little iffy because I had this nagging voice in my head going, "A mortal Doctor? that lives the rest of his life with Rose?....this sounds very familiar..."
But the more ou think about it, it's beautiful. It gives them a new chance. A chance to fall in love with each other again, to learn how to live a normal life after all this time...to make time tots and grow old together.   Sure Rose isn't convinced at first..

"He's not you..."

But he is. Oh my goodness he is. Believe me guys, I had to work my way around this too. But it's him. Brown Doctor wants this for her so bad, he wants her to have that life she deserved...with him. It's the best thing for both of them. If she'd continued traveling with him, he would've had to watch her grow old and die. So just think about it...this way, she's with him, they'll live together, have children, save the universe again and again and they'll grow old together. We really couldn't ask for a better ending for our ship. And the brown Doctor gets to continue doing what he does, knowing that part of him is with Rose, living the life he's always dreamed he could never have. And, if you didn't "awe" when he told her that that was him, when they first met, they you haven't been paying attention to what's important. She made him better. Only she could do that, and that's the biggest complement anyone could ever give.

And you just know it's what he's wanted all along. Since the first time he realised that he was falling in love with that London shopgirl.

"I could spend it with you, Rose Tyler..."

And I'm sure he's just as good in bed with only one heart. Oh yes.
And you know how I backup my theorie that this is what Brown Doctor wanted?

His face says it all right there.
But of course,Rose has to make sure she's looked at this from every angle.

"Right, both of you, drop your pants."
"What did you say to me?"
"I said Rose Tyler."
"And...how was that sentance going to end?"

"Does it really need saying?"

Oh dear Lord! It's "Oh, she knows.." all over again!!

"You prick"
I wouldn't have blamed her one bit if she started screaming at that point. But it's like I said, he was egging her, helping make it easier for her to stay and live a life.

I get a little shiver whenever I watch him touch her arm and lean in...so lovely.

Although we don't hear it, it still has the same effect on me. And it's what I've wanted ever since I watched Doomsday.
And then...bliss.

I love how she grabbed his jacket and kissed him. I makes me giddy. And, it was a nice kiss and all, but after watching the confidential, I feel cheated. Behold the real deal.

...
...
Blimey. David and Billie really went for it, didn't they. Seeing that  has knocked that GitF snog out of the water. Cause I mean, HELLO!!
*fans self* No wonder Billie doesn't let her husband watch Doctor Who, I wouldn't either if I had that much chemistry with my co-star.

The only thing I would've changed about this scene? Is Brown ten leaving without a kiss.

*hugs him*

Back tot the Tardis...same old life.

They'll find their feet eventually. He's the Doctor and she's Rose Tyler, and together they're not only unstoppable, the stuff of legend but they're also the only ones who can make each other better. Who can teach each other how to live. Just watch them (in a metephoricle sense, unless they decide to bring them back one day)

"Time Babie-making time, now?"

Goodbye Rose and Doctor. Have a good life. Do that for the other Doctor, have a fantastic life.

=======

Now this...this is why the episode is really tragic. So many people got their new beginings...but Donna is going to have to say goodbye to it all.  And the Doctor knows that.

This is where I really got down, Donna pretending that everything is fine.

It's killing her. But this time, a kiss won't help.

She was marvelous here. I felt a little Donna shapped partin me break for her. She knows what he's going to do, and Good God, it's cruel. To have seen all those things, to have learned...to have...to have felt your self worth. She'll never know how amazing she is, how brilliant...

"Who are you??!"
Remember her showing up at the end of Doomsday, startling us all after the depressing scene that had just played out before it...
And then telling him that the Doctor that he needed someone to stop him.

Pompeii
She stunned us all and made him go back for one family. Just one. That was all that was needed, it may not have been an 'everybody lives' moment, but it helped. And she helped him. I knew I'd love Donna forever the moment she placed her hand over his and helped him start the volcano.

"Take it away...I can't bear it"
She heard the song of captivity and brought us a step closer to the Ood,  who also predicted the DoctorDonna.

Getting a little deeper into the Doctor's personal life and helping love his daughter, even if Jenny was just a 'genetic anomaly' *coughClone!love!cough*

Lee. She's going to forget Lee. (I have decided that I will be fixing this, as a gift to wish, whose provided me with my Tom/Martha goodness)

Placing her life in the hands of a blonde stranger and then sacraficing herself...just to bring the Doctor back to the world.

She was brilliant. And no one is going to regret taking that away from her more than the Doctor. And this isn't the first time a comanion has had their memory wiped...

Poor Jamie. The hot-headed Highlander. The Timelords took him and Zoe, wiped thei memories and threw them back where they came from.
Donna's situation is just as bad, worse actually.

The Tardis already feels empty...

I'm going to be brief over the next bits, cause I'm still a little distressed over them

"Help me"
By this point I was gulping down tears and had a sudden urge to hit soemthing.

The entire scene where he's explaining everything to Wilf and Sylvia...just broke my heart more and more. I wanted to snog the living daylights out of him when he snapped back at Sylvia.

"Maybe you shoud tell her that more often!"

Bitter tears finally were allowed to flow when Donna came in, screeching about being treated like a kid. She's back to the way she was and has no idea...*bursts into tears*

It's finale's like this that we learn that the world can be a harsh place to those who do good.

The Goodbye between Wilf and the Doctor was heartwrenching. The performance from her grandad was award worthy...and I reakky mean that.

"When it gets dark, and the start come out. I'll look up there, and think of you, on her behalf."

I love Wilf and I don't think that anyone can really disagree with me on how wonderful he is.

*cue David's kicked puppy-left in the rain-face*

Now here, I must say is where I finally put my selfish little shipper heart on a shelf and watched this scene for what it was. It's not about the Doctor being lonely and alone, because Sarah proved that there are people who care for him ( he should go visit more), no. This is about Donna. About what he was forced to do and at what cost.
Donna was something new for us NuWho viewers. She wasn't the love of his life, or the girl with a crush who was more of a stand-in...she was a friend and a sister. And she she was loud and bossy and brash...and she was wonderful.
And right when she finally got the chance to see herself for how special she was...it got taken away from her. And the Doctor has to deal with the fact that he was the one to do it. Ok, Blue commited genocide, but Brown took away the core of a brilliant fiery woman, who will probably never know that she was the most imposrtant woman in the world. I'm still sad at saying goodbye to Donna. I've done a lot of research on all the different comanions during my short time as a DW fan, and Donna is closest I've ever come to feeling like I could really connect with the companion. Which is why the knot in my chest still hasn't loosened just yet.
I think the emphisis on how depressing this ending is, is shown due to the lack of the What? What?!? What??!!!!!!!!! cliffhanger ending we got for the last two series.

But I will leave you all with a quote from Stuart Ian Burns, a review writer from 'Behind the sofa'...

“I keeping asking myself why I'm so excited about a new television series when there is still lots of other really good Doctor Who going around. It's about hope. It's about the fact that if enough of the right people care about something, and enough of those people are in the right position to doing something about it, wonderful things can happen. If that doesn't make you choke up, you must be an Auton”
