I guess they're just too old and used. You have to change them from time to time, it's like, IDK, dead ballet shoes. If the boot is too old it's easier to get injured.

Oh, yeah. Lol as an ex-ballet dancer I should've thought of that, the number of pairs I went through in 8 years of dancing was pretty huge.
