So according to police, a man who had just told his girlfriend he'd call her back soon, with his hands handcuffed behind his back, grabbed a gun that had been hidden so well that 2 police searches didn't find it, then (presumably) used his non-dominant hand to shoot himself in the head with it. Because he got arrested for a small amount of pot.

Very logical.

The police honestly scare me at this point. I was talking to my mom about police in general (we had a sheriff's election day) and I was surprised that even my rather conservative mother had quite a bit to say about how awful police are.

it's the kind of excuse that adds an extra level of awful because you know there are so many racists and so many police worshippers out there that even thi ridiculous excuse will pass

this is all kinds of messed up.
how does the dashcam video support their story at all? doesn't it just film what's going on in front of the car?

eta: also, the reenactment video shows the cop pulling the gun out of the side of the seat is what it looks like to me. so their video didn't really prove anything...

if there was more than one cruiser at the scene, there *might* have been a dashcam that was facing the cop car that the guy was in, but i don't know why they would need more than one cruiser when they were just dealing with someone with a little weed. it's not like it was enough to sell and he didn't have any weapons or warrants out for his arrest.

The only thing I could think of would be that it shows both officers in plain view at the time of the shot. That's the ONLY way it could prove the cops did nothing wrong. Otherwise it seems kind of like BS.

Why aren't agreed upon independent people (agreed upon by he family because I doubt they wan to see he video) see the video? If it was filmed surely showing someone the video would stop the questions?
