With number 9 I thought it was the arms race with the United States which did in the Soviet Union, the Submarine fleet wasn't cheap.

And everyone needs to get over number 2 ASAP, evolution is a fact. It never ceases to amaze me that educated people in the world's leading country still think some book written by various people 2,000 years ago (or more) trumps you know, scientific fact.

That reminds me - I was once debating with an far-right winger and literally every time I cited a fact that gave his claims less merit he would freak out and claim that everything I was saying was a lie made up by the liberals. It was the most frustrating experience of my life.

This is what my father does whenever we debate politics. ALL THE FREAKING TIME.

Then he jokes that I'll change my mind once I start paying taxes, ha ha. >.

I'm really confused about one thing in particular...since when did Freud, who was born 3 years before Origin of Species was published, come before Darwinism?

Don't forget all the bullshit they believe about Native-Colonist relations. Even Canadians have issues with that stuff.

Yes, so many issues. That it's not even taught properly in school* is another thing, but I'd rather not make too many people angry tonight.

* depends on the school, province, but I'm not including post-secondary education in this
