Jeremiah Wright: Now with CONTEXT
The clips of Rev. Jeremiah Wright - you know, the ones where he says "God Damn America", and another apparently showing his fitful glee about the 9/11 attacks, shouting, "America's chickens have come home to roost"?
Yeah, he was quoting Ambassador Edward Peck.
"I heard Ambassdor Peck, on an interview yesterday... Did anybody else see him or hear him? He was on Fox News. This is a white man, and he was upsetting the Fox News commentators to no end. He pointed out - did you see him? - a white man - an ambassador! - that what Malcolm X said, when he got silenced by Elijah Muhammad, was true - "America's chickens are coming home to roost."

He makes a hell of a historical argument, full of nuance, and we are somehow surprised that the mainstream media clipped it to look like he was a raving lunatic?
