I pick option 2. Also, that's not 'fiscal conservatism', it's 'lying SOBism'. When representatives choose to obtain their ends by being misrepresentatives, it invalidates any claim they had to legitimate political reasoning.

My thought on this- they'd be happy as hell to agree to expand if it was from a Republican President, but since it's from under Obama- they can't stand it.

Ding ding ding we have a winner!

We ran into the same thing regarding our governor in WI rejecting federal money for a public transportation project because he believed it was a "waste of money." Because of course, it's a waste of money to do something that creates jobs, gives more transportation options, especially for those who might not be able to afford a car, not to mention that public transportation is better for the environment. *eyeroll*

I'm so incredibly sick of this refusing to get along or work together on ANYTHING shit.
