See, I just got a letter from school saying that I'm getting one of the School Awards :o It's for Academic Achievement and Commitment, and as well as the award I get a cheque for £50 and a bookplate! :D I totally wasn't expecting it or anything (I didn't even know we had these award things) so it's just ( Read more... )

the abuse i suffered at the hands of my ex-husband feels like its my fault because i wasn't a good enough wife that i should've been. i caused all the hitting and the hurting because i wasn't what i should've been.

Abuse is never acceptable. Ever. You musn't ever believe that it was your fault. Your ex was a bastard who abused you because he could, end of story. It has nothing to do with you or anything you did. You are wonderful.

For a long time now I have accepted the fact that I'm bisexual.
My mum is ok with fact of either being gay or being straight, but she thinks that bisexuality is disgusting. If I was purely gay, I would come out to her, but since I'm bi, I can't. I'm so afraid of her disowning me.

Oh, honey, I'm so sorry :( This must be so awful for you. Especially since you know who you are, but can't tell people. I don't know what advice to give except: are you absolutely positive that this is how she feels? It might be best if you don't talk to her about any of it until you're sure.

Believe me, I'm sure. I can be myself around everybody else but not her. I'm so afraid of letting it slip out. So I'm cautious of what I say or do around around her just in case something gives me away.
Like the other day, she was flipping through a magazine and pointed out to an article on Kate Winslet. She asked me if I thought she was pretty, And I said no, even though I think Kate's drop dead gorgeous.
Plus it's kinda stressing me out trying to keep up with this charade.

I can understand how you feel - I can't be completely truthful to my family and many of my friends about who I really am, because I'm frightened of how they'll react. So I understand having to watch what you say etc. And I know how stressed you must be, honey <33
