I think one of the best arguments for the authenticity of the Old Testament is that the Jews, out of nowhere, entirely opposite of everyone around them, believed in one God, who is inivisible and should not be worshipped by idols or images, and who alone should be worshipped. I don't think that could have happened without God's revelation

Yeah, and another thing is that they never seemed able to live up to their God's standards. Who invents a god they don't really want to follow?
