But I think, a bit of a similiar experience I had when the local Netto store (the Danish Netto store chain) had it in their weekly offerings before Christmas that, on one specific day of the week, they gave 50% off on all Christmas chocolate articles and baked goods.
Been in the store five past eight in the morning (they open on 8 o'clock) on that day just to get my hands on some of the more expensive stuff. - Well, and there was to notice that couple of other people also had that plan. It was noticeably fuller in the corner of the store where the Christmas sweets were placed.
Still got all of the stuff that I wanted then, but, regarding that it was just an accident that I was awake at such a good hour on that day, I don't want to think what the sweets corner might have already looked like two hours later. For sure, there had already been a few gaps in it.
