Oct 01, 2020 14:49

In this series I want to go through groups that are gone, but not forgotten. I will go from debut till disbandment or [indefinite] hiatus, remembering the time we had together and look back on their highs and lows.

They don't work for me as a group
and all the inner issue (bullying & co) were too much for me to get involved.
Also outside of Yezi none of them have star power imo

Wicked and You're Pitiful are my top tracks from them. Overal, i don't think they ever clicked with me though.

These video's from 2012 woooooooooow. Kpop tends to be so trend orientated that alot of songs and visuals don't age well, and this certainly looks and sounds like something from a decade ago lmao

another great post op! (it looks like something got messed up with the formatting tho) and i agree, yezi is scary, but that's exactly why i like her... i'm not normally the type to say this but i want her to step on me tbh

my fav fiestar song, and one of my all-time favs period, is one more. it's just so damn CATCHY, shinsadong tiger really served with that one. could have easily been an exid song, i think some of hani's demo vocals are present in the ha-nanananana hana deo part. i love how open it is about sexuality too, you just don't see girl groups doing that much these days. like it's not just "i'm sexy" but it's "you're not satisfying me sexually, do better."

learning about their group dynamics was unfortunate and put them pretty low on my list of groups to check out, but they really did have some bops.

i always associated one more with exid! the song reminded me of up & down a lot. i sometimes still think one more is an exid song. the fact that it was produced by shinsadong tiger explains a lot

You can definitely think, when listening to One More, exactly how the song would've been split if it was an EXID song, though I reckon if it was an EXID song the 'it don't matter if you don't like me' bit would have been completely written and be a more extensive rap, which would have been a shame because i really like that bit lol.

yeah i can't figure out what's going on with the formatting, when i open the post in a seperate tab on my laptop or on my phone it's completely fine but when i look at it on my friends feed it looks weird. i edited a couple of times but i can't seem to fix it for now :( i'll try again tomorrow but thank you! ♥

I never got super big into Fiestar but like with just about every girlgroup I gave their singles a listen. I did however REALLY like "I Don't Know" and "One More". "I Don't Know" is just so cute sounding and catchy (but that MV tho, LOL WOW. Like its one of those things you look at and wonder how it got allowed to happen with how conservative korea is). I listened to "Mirror" and "Apple Pie" too but neither one of them caught me quite as well as the other two. "Apple Pie" was kind of a lackluster song to end on but I guess it is for the best since it seems they really didn't get along well together if what was said can be believed.

i liked quite a few of their songs (love sea of moonlight with iu! one more + you're pitiful too) but never was into them as a group. learning about their group dynamics made me feel bad for other idol groups that are still stuck in similar positions
