Yes, the feel of watching the movie is somehow similar to reading a book leisurely. Maybe because there was a narrator in the movie too? But it really reminds me a lot of Forrest Gump. (Like he calls his mother, Mama. And his accent. The war. Being handicapped as a child. Etc etc)
I <3 Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton! Heehee. And I think Brad Pitt is the best person for the role. I can't imagine it being played by someone elsesome other movie star.
Love the movie visually! Not much with the story because it makes me sad. Haha.
Ahaha! There you go. Marami talagang iba sa short story at sa movie, baka nga dahil sa screenplay writer.
Yes! They were gorgeous. Well, now that I've seen the movie Benjamin Button is stuck in my head as Brad Pitt, but I never really thought about who would play him before.
Aww! I remember hearing another celebrity say the movie will make you want to hug your grandma or a childhood friend or something, and that's how I feel.
Saw this movie today, and I find myself agreeing on every point you put across.
In fact, the only thing I really have against the film is the sometimes unnecessary cutting to the modern world *when the story was getting good* sometime in the middle of the narrative.
Hahaha! I felt the same way about "For Love of the Game" -- I didn't appreciate the backstory and only wondered if Kevin Costner really could play the perfect game.
I think the cuts to the hospital added a dimension to the story. A glimpse of how Daisy lived her life without Benjamin.
Oh, I know what you mean by that. XD There were a lot of cuts that I appreciated, but some I found excessive.
I guess I just found myself second-guessing correctly that Daisy would, for example, react negatively on hearing Benjamin's exploits with the Elizabeth Abbott. While seeing it happen confirmed my theory, I would rather the story had continued.
