True enough - but as I've tried to make it a habit to send birthday greetings, I always fear that if I don't do it, people will think that I'm not sending greetings to them (of all people!) on vicious purpose. I know I tend to feel that way, even if it's silly. >_> So I figured an apology was in order, just to be on the safe side!
