This comes from watching that 1959 classic THE ALLIGATOR PEOPLE a few times too many as a little kid sitting up for CHILLER THEATER. Many of my stories incorporate bits and pieces stuck in my memory from those early years.
I'd like each of our heroes to get a solo story or two. It gives them a chance to show what they can do on their own, and each could in theory carry a series alone. Sheng so far has "Fist For Hire" and this story, but the idea of a detective agency that is open all night suggests a lot of great dramatic opening scenes.
The Feral Boys are going to turn out to be a real nationwide menace. Their Unseen Nation (their own name for themselves) has little colonies in cities all across the US. Many Feral Boys don't look like their ancestors by this point. So we have these WASPY millionaires sitting at board meetings but owing their loyalty to a bunch of alf-crazed Feral Boy shamans lurking in the Everglades. There's going to be big trouble at some point.
