We had a full-timer end of service party at the House of Schro, who's one of the second-year members. (Basically, you can do two years max. We had two second-years in the group.) Catered food, much drinkage, chattering, and lots of Spades. (My partner and I kicked the assage.)

TASOM will be sent off to SciFiction. The immediate goal (beyond making a sale) is to get past the slush reader and to Ms. Datlow's desk. If it's rejected (and the odds are always high it will be), I'll be shooting for an "Alas" from GVG (the making a sale goes without saying, but an "Alas" would be the next best thing) at Fantasy & Science Fiction.
I think "Long Winter by Night" (tentative title for the Beria story) will go to Paradox"Convergence" (the other story featuring a future secret police chief--Gestapo Mueller in this case) I began because of an upcoming war anthology. I'll have to see how it turns out, but it very well may go to that anthology. If not, it'd be

Oh. Forgot about "The Horns of Many." Not sure where that will go yet. Possibly to another antho or to a fantasy market. Then again, it depends on how dark it turns out. I usually don't have the fluffy endings. Bittersweet, yah. But not fluffy. And I'm thinking this'll be bittersweet.
