Gotham Central is a book about the GCPD, working in the shadow of the Bat-family and related villains. It's a cop book with the added twist of dealing with superhero problems and so forth... Batman barely even makes appearances. A recent storyline was a serial killer killing boys dressed as Robin, but the cops have no way of knowing who the real Robin really is short of asking Batman. It's just a lot of interesting stories told in the margins of the larger plots you hear about in Gotham.
Yeah, not sure what's up there, Michael Turner started it in Superman/Batman when this new Supergirl was introduced, but I think Ian Churchill takes it to a new level. Extra ribs? Extra vertebrae? Who knows.
I'm not buying individual issues of IC, but I did thumb through it at the store. Oh, and I almost have that Lead-in to Infinite Crisis scans collection ready, I'll send you a link when I'm hosting it. =)

Oh, and I also am very disturbed by Supergirl's torso.
Last, have you read Infinite Crisis #2?
