She needed to know if there were others like her out there. Not the typical blonde hair, blue-grey eyed, teenage, high school cheerleader types. No, the type she was looking for were those that could regenerate their bodies. People that could get burned from pulling a scalding hot muffin tin from the oven without any oven mitts on and not have a mark on them. People that could crack every bone in their body and heal within seconds. The types that could even die, and come back.

Claire couldn’t be sure if she could find anything on the internet about other freaks like her with this strange ability (although Sandra and Noah would have disagreed with her, but Lyle would be the first to agree), it was still worth a try. With Noah being on a 'business trip' with the Haitian, she didn’t have to worry about him looking over her shoulder every second of the day. Sandra and Lyle, however, were a different story all together. Claire worried slightly that she’d be grounded for life if - and it was a mighty big if - she was caught. But Lyle was over at a friend's house and Sandra was out getting Mr Muggles groomed. It was a good thing that Noah had left his computer at home and on, or else this investigation couldn’t be possible, because of all the passwords that protected everything that was on there. Typing in the password that she had seen her father use she was lead directly to the main desktop.

Blue-grey eyes scanned the monitor, looking for the icon to go onto the internet, when a new folder - one that she had never seen before - caught her interest. Recent additions, the title read. Although Claire knew that she shouldn't look inside, she thought that it might help in her search for another person with rapid cellular regeneration. The blonde double clicked the folder and watched as it opened, revealing the people that had been discovered with supernatural abilities. She scanned through person upon person, hoping that there might be a clue as to if there was another like her. Claire was almost ready to give up the search, when she clicked on the last person's file, a man by the name of Jack Harkness.

"No way," Claire breathed as she read his file. "This guy’s an immortal, like me?!" Claire was slightly in shock as she quickly printed out the file, and ran upstairs to her room to re-read this Jack Harkness' file.

Name: Captain Jack Harkness
Age: Unknown, appears to be in early 40's.
Height: 6'
Weight: 145 pounds.
Occupation: Head of Torchwood Three in Cardiff, Wales. Phone number +44-2920007567
Power: Rapid cellular regeneration

"Wales?" Claire asked out loud. "How...am I supposed to get to Wales? Dad will kill me if I try to go and..." she paused, and looked at her cell phone. "I can't call Angela. What am I supposed to tell her? 'Hi, Angela. I looked through my dad's files on his computer and found somebody like me that I want to meet but he lives in Wales. Could you pay for me to go there?' She'll talk to me like I'm absolutely insane. Then again..."

Picking up the phone, she took a deep breath in and let it out slowly before dialing. But it wasn’t Angela Petrelli that Claire was going to call. Instead, she dialed the Welsh phone number that was listed on the file.

One ring. Two rings. Three rings.

"Hello, Cardiff Tourist Information, Ianto Jones speaking. How may I help you?" the Welshman said as he answered the phone in the tourist information office above Torchwood Three's hub. He secretly hoped that it was a wrong number, or someone needing basic tourist information.

Claire looked at the number that was listed on the paper that held Jack's file. This number was supposed to be a direct line to Jack and Jack only, not to some office with a man named Ianto answering the phone. She was nervous about speaking, but knew that she needed to speak in order to be connected to the only other freak like her.

"Hello?" Ianto repeated. Maybe the person on the other end was a prank caller. He never did like those types of phone calls.

"I'd like to be connected to Jack Harkness," the blonde finally spoke up. "Please," Claire added, almost an after-thought as she bit the inside of her bottom lip, almost to the point where it was going to start bleeding. Not that she cared, of course. Claire had tasted her own blood before, and it would just heal itself over in a matter of seconds like it always had without leaving a trace.

"Who may I say is calling and what is this regarding?" the Welshman asked, pending a question for the teenager that was half a world away.

"My name's Claire Bennett. My dad, Noah, works for the Company. I saw Jack's file on my dad's computer, and I was hoping to talk to him," Claire said, answering the question posed for her. She hoped that the information she gave was enough to get connected.

"I’m sorry but Jack's out of the office until late tonight, but I can take a message or transfer you to his voicemail if you'd like, Miss Bennett," Ianto answered, trying to cover for his life-mate.

"I know about his ability," Claire stated finally, knowing that would get her transferred.

Ianto opened his mouth to say something, but closed it, pausing for a moment before answering, not expecting this girl, this teenager, to know about Jack's regenerations.

"One moment, Miss Bennett. I’ll transfer you now," the man finally answered, and with a quick tap of a few buttons, was transferred to Jack’s direct phone.

"Finally," Claire mumbled as she waited to be connected to the Captain.

"Jack Harkness."

"Hi, Jack Harkness? You don't know me but I know you. My name's Claire Bennett. You and I have something in common."
