There’s a flicker in his vision and Sam spins round but it’s too slow, thrown off balance by his hobbled limb, and he’s only just able to get his forearm in front of his face before the hammer comes down. There’s a crunch, wet and sharp, and a shock of pain jolts electric up across his back and into the base of his skull. He gasps, stumbles and clutches at the wall as Dean lifts the hammer again. This time he brings it down square on Sam’s good shoulder, cracking the scapula, wedging into the flesh ( ... )

Just read again (and again) and let me reiterate that I fucking love you. Sam having to tell Cas how to do it and asking to be unconscious and counting and DEAN SQUEEZING HIS FOOT I AM DEAD. DEAD.

This couldn't be more perfect if it tried! Dean and the hammer, Cas needing instructions, Sam agreeing to be unconscious, the awkwardness of human Dean. But that touch to Sam's foot says so much, and it's so very Winchester, and so very perfect!

I loved this! Another awesome fill, and I I sure hope you're tempted by a few more! Take care :)

Oh, Sam. Felt a bit queasy reading this which just goes to show how well you did.

And Sam only able to see Cas's legs against Dean's and hear his angry voice to know Cas was there and he was safe, and oh, that ending.
