I don't think this makes her a terrible person. A lot of people are entertained when celebs are going off the rails, because they're often seen as commodities rather than humans, and watching the downfall becomes entertaining while we block out the reality of their problems.

he was never there for her when she needed him (like when she told him she had 'this great new diet' where she would eat everything and then throw up, and he was like 'ok that's nice'), made her tour to exhaustion when she od'd or was trying to get better or work on other things, and when she retired to st lucía to escape the paps he followed her with a whole camera crew bc he was shooting a documentary about himself (that was really mostly about her)

there are a whole bunch of sad stories like that involving her father in the doc, it was pretty depressing
