I loved it when they had the judges taste blindfolded. It leveled the playing field in an interesting way because they can only judge by smell and taste.

Is this class wars like cooking class, or like social status?

Famous chefs vs. unknown chefs plus a lunch lady

I started watching this but had to stop because my husband was out of town and I knew he'd love it, but what I saw I enjoyed a lot. I liked seeing Ed Lee on there, I liked him a lot during his Top Chef appearances. We're going to binge it when my husband has a week off from work, which is coming up in a few weeks!

only about half-way through but I really liked the lunch lady and the self-taught guy.

Honestly this was one of my favorite shows of the year, they balanced the drama factor really well and made you care about the contestants (Maniac my beloved). I feel like cooking competition shows have lost their way a bit but this gave me faith again. It's just gonna be hard going back to watching Great British Bake Off after watching this lol.

[Spoiler (click to open)]Justice for my boy Edward Lee, the story he told the judges at the end made me teary-eyed. I genuinely believe he had a slight disadvantage going first instead of second. I had to look it up after and he actually has a restaurant near where I live so I'm definitely gonna try and see if I can make a reservation before the end of the year lol.

Shoutout to that tiramisu that was made during the grocery store challenge, probably one of my favorite things made all season.

[Spoilers]I was so sad that he didn't win, but I think if the show wasn't Korean he'd probably get the top spot. I think they didn't want to risk upsetting anyone because the guy that doesn't even speak Korean won the show. Plus I think his tuna bibimbap worked against him. He should have just called it something else imo.

Yeah I've heard the same thing but when I checked a couple days ago Edward Lee's restaurant (which is un the US) has availability in December so I might check it out then.
