Taylor does nothing by accident and she sure as hell doesn't seem interested in adressing the upcoming election.

Which would make her “Miss Americana” political awakening look like just another of her eras that she is done with now.

I’m surprised an outlet as big as Variety is already going there and even saying it feels like miss Americana was performative bc she was at a low point in her career. true but a big industry trade that realistically could still get an interview with her one day saying it is pretty notable.

I don’t mean this as a drag against you specifically, but I think you are baffled because you got duped. I think a lot of people, fans or not, really bought into her liberal leanings four years ago, and are holding onto it now. Now that it’s pretty clear that her ~political~ era was more manufactured, it’s disconcerting to think that those beliefs were more about maintaining her career, not presenting a part of herself that you could connect with.
