this whole movie is absolutely absurd, even ignoring the outlandish dialogue written for the white grandma. watched with a friend and there were moments that had us going "oh this isn't so bad, mo'nique is doing a great job" and then the whiplash would hit so fast. and don't even get me started on the moment when [ending spoilers]the mom starts speaking in tongues and the music swells and she casts the demon back into hell LMAO. goofy ass movie. and it has the nerve to be based on a true story!
