i didn't realize he was so popular until recently

i like his newest album and this song especially

I really enjoyed his last single with Maggie Rogers. It’s interesting who he has been choosing to collab with. Makes me think it’s safe to enjoy his music. For now. Never trust a man.

But that being said it’s looking like he’s aiming to align himself with the Kacey Musgraves/Tyler Childers/Willie Nelson side of country music.

after i was listening to this album, spotify fed me a bunch of tyler childers' songs - which i enjoyed - so that makes me happy to hear that he's 'safe' too (for now lol)

I like it, i’m still doing my digging on him to see if I feel comfortable listening, but I know he’s spoken out in his music and interviews with some more center left leaning views. I saw a comment talking about how they think country equals trumpers which isn’t false but it got me thinking about my own thoughts on country

His album popped up for me on Apple Music for some reason so I checked it out and it's actually not bad??? I'm super picky about the country music I listen to but he's got some good songs that I saved and this one with Kacey was one of them. Kacey's voice is so pretty and probably my favorite in the country genre right now.

It's unfortunate that as some truly interesting and creative country artists and songwriters have emerged in the last decade or so and have found strong fanbases both in and outside of the conventional country scene, more time is devoted to overstating the significance of the success of astroturfed conservative shlock like that Rich Man whatever song.
