Bad Bunny Gets Backlash For Throwing a Fan's Phone In The Water, Doubles Down On It

Jan 02, 2023 16:30

Bad Bunny responds:

“The person who comes up to me to say hello, to tell me something, or just to meet me, will always receive my attention and respect. Those who come to put a phone in my face, I will consider it for what it is, a lack of respect and I will treat it like one.” pic.twitter.com/pYmQd73WqR

That's illegal, bro. You don't get to destroy people's belongings. There were many steps and actions you could've taken before doing that.

One that protects your private property isn't though...?

If somebody wants their private property protected, they should KEEP it 'private' by not shoving it in people's faces, unprompted.

On the one I agree fans are too entitled but throwing it in the water seems a step too far to me. Just tell her no and have your security remove her.

Not that this makes it okay, but I assume that their team would make things right. Maybe I’m quite naive to think this, but I’d think celebs who act like this have to have to someone around who manages their messes.

On the one hand this seems like a clueless rich person thing to do -- not everyone can just afford a new phone! -- and on the other stans are SO entitled and they absolutely need to be made to respect boundaries. So 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mostly this just makes me think of that Catfish when Nev threw the guy's phone in the water and I absolutely died laughing lmao

i agree

if it's about the property then he should pay her for it but i don't think it's some huge faux pas if she was in his space so much

I agree with this as well. Like I get where everyone else (esp. the comments above us) is coming from and I'm probably wrong for thinking this but she was just all up in his space too much. I wish I could be this aggressive when people are all up in mine, buuut I am a woman so there's obv some baggage there lol

I remember being in a club at 16 (on a cruise ship so it was allowed) and this guy straight up grabbed me from the bar and dragged me onto the dance floor to "dance with" (read grind on) me. His friends thought it was hilarious, whooping and laughing the whole time and I was too stunned to protest.

The level of entitlement that he had to my body still enrages me to this day. I wish it was more acceptable to react loudly and aggressively to people like that.

I’m splitsville on this. I think throwing the phone was a lot but when are people going to learn to stop behaving like animals in front of their favs. The way she just got in his way for that selfie was annoying.
