I still say that while he may be anti-vaxx if the rumors are true, why would the academy follow a relatively newcomer’s demands?
It’d be more believable to me if it was him as part of group demanding this.

Him solely? No way! First he’s low on the totem pole in terms of power ranking compared to other A-listers to me. It’s got to be is Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep level celebrity to get them their heard.

He's always seemed like a good guy the little I know about him admittedly, hope he can get himself out of this brainwashing.

matthew belloni who worked as an editor at the hollywood reporter for like 15 years and practiced/taught entertainment law has been talking about this in his newsletter for a few weeks now. the basic facts he laid out were that she was on the set of Nope and exhibiting behavior that made them worried for him and that he subsequently dumped his team at caa in mid-february of this year.

it seems like most of the background on this scammer came from his newsletter, including the linkedin bit.

These people prey on vulnerable people, so maybe he's going through a rough patch and she's taking advantage of it (just speculating). I hope he realizes what's happening and gets away from her.

That seems like a good source. When it was just page 6 I was a little skeptical because if he really did fire his team one of them could have planted it.
