I had a live in caregiver position for 8 years with an elderly man in the house he shared with his late wife. I would get feelings of a hand on my back. Like a gentle palm/fingers on my lower back. It felt so damn real. I could feel my clothes move and the pressure against my skin.

I can only assume it was her, I guess it could have been anyone lol but it makes sense it was her house.

He ended up passing away in his living room and minutes/hours after he died the TV would turn on while I was crying. Every time. I turn it off, it would turn right back on. It never happened before he died and I left within a month, but it didn't happen again after that day.

We watched TV a lot together, so I like to think it was him telling to stop crying and do something else.

I don't believe in God, but I have trouble rationalizing those experiences.

Can you believe in spirits/ghosts and not in God?

i definitely had a haunted experience at a holiday inn once. i wrote about it not too long ago in one of our posts. my dad passed away in 2017 and family (two of his sisters and one cousin) mentioned the morning after, when they heard the news from us, that they heard knocking at their doors that am but nobody was there. they think it was my dad saying goodbye. i personally never experienced any kind of sign from my dad. my mom had chalked it up to superstition. she doesn't believe in ghosts.

Yes, you can absolutely believe in ghosts and not a god. My house has always had activity and just generally had a bunch of weird experiences since I was a kid and do not believe in any religion or deity.

When my uncle passed (and still occasionally to this day) things would go missing around the house - would search everywhere, get other people to search too, and days or weeks later it’s turn up in a very obvious spot we’d already checked. It would definitely be my uncle’s sense of humour to do that.

I hear you. I was an atheist up until my late 20s when my grandma died (who I had a better relationship to than my own mom - we are better now) and had weird things happen, and then I visited a Medium who a family friend had been to and recommended. I was skeptical AF and just accepted it would be a very expensive hour of BS but I told her nothing except “yes” or “no” and had a wild surreal amazing experience, changing my whole belief system to believe in a God (aka universal loving energy). It’s bonkers.

Ghost hunting always seems like a good idea whenever I'm tipsy.

I agree wish I believed but I don’t, but I feel like if it offers people comfort to think they do then it’s a good thing, I hate people who prey on this by scamming others though

I love Buzzfeed Unsolved.

But lol I don't believe in ghosts. There's no real internal logic.
