I mean what’s he gonna say? “Please stop bringing up the time I was 30 and dating a 19 year old?”

She’s unhinged, he was a weirdo (and seems to still like his women much muuuuch younger) so nobody looks great here.

It was worse than that. He had, at the same time, JUST lost his mother to suicide so was obviously in a vulnerable place to say the least and was underage. Taylor dated him for the spring/summer and was obviously still in touch with Harry Styles the whole time because once Conor went to school again in September Taylor was immediately in London with Harry wearing his necklace. So kind of way worse than the melodrama depicted in her ~short film~.

** I'll add that this is one of at least 3-4 times Taylor has obviously left one man to get with another one, if there wasn't overlap.

What were the other times? Besides when she left Hiddleston for her brother.

Didn't she also dump Calvin for Hiddleston?

Left Conor Kennedy for Harry Stules
Left Calvin Harris for Tom Hiddleston
Left Tom Hiddleston for Joe Alwyn

Most people at the time also thought she had dumped Taylor Lautner for John Mayer.

I haven’t thought about the fact that he’d recently lost his mom to suicide in years but that adds a layer to it on top of him being underaged that is just so wrong.

She knew she did this. She remembers dating this school aged teenager and forcing herself into his life as he was grieving and she STILL is doing this promo for All Too Well like she understands this issue now. Jake dating her that young was gross as well. Absolutely. But I would think that just from a place of freaking self preservation this woman wouldn’t have gone so hard on Jake when her “dating” Connor is public knowledge?? Is she really this above reproach in the eyes of the public??

I just mean I don’t know why she thinks people aren’t going to bring up her “relationship” with Connor since she’s being so vocal about Jake.

Thank you! Finally someone made some fair points. That poor kid was grieving and she thought it was a good time to insert herself in his life and went as far as purchasing a home next door to his family. And all for what? The only reason why she noticed him, was because he's a Kennedy.

>The only reason why she noticed him, was because he's a Kennedy.

I wonder if that was some kind of weird response to feeling like she got rejected by 'hollywood royalty' (the gyllenhaals) so she was like fuck you i'm gonna become american royalty for real.

fuuuuck I didn't realise the timeline went like that. She's garbage. And harry was also only 18 at the time too right?

Harry was, like Conor, only 17.

fucking mega oof. Makes the 'younger than my exes but he act like such a man' line from Ready For It extra cringe.

I feel pretty sure Speak Now will be the next rerelease*, the red ballgown in the vid for I Bet You Think About Me seems like a big nod to the cover of the deluxe edition of that album, so we're probably going to get Age Gap Discourse if Dear John gets the same treatment, which it should - it's one of her best written songs lyrically speaking, and John Mayer always deserves dragging
